Apple ha finalmente indicato la disponibilità di Apple Watch sul mercato italiano: il 26 giugno.
Ovviamente poche persone riusciranno a prenotarlo/ritirarlo in quella data ed è più logico pensare che, com'è successo in tutti i Paesi in cui è già in vendita, lo vedremo al polso degli italiani dalla fine di luglio o dopo le ferie...
Quello che non ho per niente apprezzato è il comunicato di qualche settimana fa da parte di Apple sulla limitazioni imposte ai dispositivi indossabili per favorire le stesse principalmente tra Apple Watch e devices iOS.

(Ma poi, tra quelli che escono per una corsetta, c'è qualcuno che si fida a non avere con sé il telefono da usare in caso di emergenza?)

Non c'è necessità di schermo touchscreen su un dispositivo con display così piccolo, a mio parere.
Ma la qualità dello schermo, vista la propensione alle attività sportive degli Smartwatch, dev'essere adeguata a qualsiasi condizione di luce:

Pebble Time e Time Steel offrono la tecnologia E-Ink già adottata sui modelli odierni per visualizzare notifiche e colori al meglio anche sotto il sole o in presenza di riflessi sullo schermo.
Apple, invece, ha fatto un piccolo "miracolo" (come sempre) abbinando al touchscreen con fourced-touch la tecnologia Retina di iPhone, iPad e dei Mac: così da offrire un dettaglio perfetto anche su un display così minuscolo.
Elogio questo enorme progresso tecnologico ai fini tecnici, ma non in quelli pratici: essendo un felice possessore di Pebble con schermo E-Ink in bianco e nero, sono più consapevole (rispetto a chi non ha mai indossato uno Smartwatch) che l'unica funzione di un indossabile è quella di offrirci una comoda lettura delle notifiche.
Le foto, i video e anche le mappe, non sono facilmente fruibili come si può pensare su schermi simili!
